Enrolment Information

St Laurence O’Toole Primary School was established by the Catholic community of Leongatha to provide a primary education, including an appropriate religious education for Catholic children residing in the Leongatha area.

Enrolment of Students

  • Priority for enrolment will be given to Catholic children and siblings of students currently enrolled at the school.
  • Non-Catholic families who are supportive of our Catholic ethos are welcome to enrol.
  • An enrolment interview with the Principal or Deputy Principal will be conducted with the parents and prospective student/s.
  • Prep children must be 5 years of age on or before the 30th of April in the year of beginning school.

Enrolment Procedure

  • If your family is moving to the Leongatha area, tours of the school can be arranged at any time throughout the year by appointment.
  • An Open Morning will occur during term 2.  Please contact the school.
  • Enrolment forms are available from the school or on the web-site and are to returned to the school before the end of term 2. Enrolment forms lodged after this date may be placed on a waiting list.            

  • During term 3 you and your child will be invited to an interview with the Principal or Deputy Principal.
  • Offers of placement will follow these interviews. Your acceptance needs to be returned promptly to allow us to re-issue places that have been declined.

Please note that your enrolment is not complete until we have all required documents and you have had an enrolment interview and been formally offered a place at St Laurence’s.
